To begin with, the general level of education nationwide has always been employed as a criterion to gauge how advanced or developed a society is. In an ideal egalitarian society, everyone should be able to receive higher education unless he willingly forgoes that option. In other words, education should not be viewed as a privilege enjoyed only by people who are endowed with certain talents. Furthermore, it would be tremendously beneficial to any society if the general public6 rather than the fortunate few can enjoy higher education. A wide range of social issues can be effectively remedied by a high-quality education which imparts crucial moral principles. In addition, a great amount of economic value can be generated if higher education is available to more people. Yet, I also concede that it may not be practical or realistic to provide higher education to everyone owing to limited financial as well as human resources. Not even the most affluent nation in the world can fulfill that objective at this stage.
In the final analysis, I believe that the more people who can receive higher education, the better off a society will be. (225 words).

This is a huge advantage over the traditional large paper bound dictionary because size really does matter. This compactness means not only that electronic dictionaries are getting smaller and lighter as well as incorporating a bigger memory but also that dictionaries can be installed into other small portable devices such as mobile phones. Although smaller in some people's view means less availability of memory and other functions, with the increasing advances made in nanotechnology this is no longer the cases.
In the final analysis, electronic dictionaries are the by-product of the inexorable progress of computerization, miniaturization and nanotechnology which has meant that one of their biggest advantages is their small size while still enjoying all the benefits of earlier, larger models. (214 words)

This gives the teacher a better insight into a student's ability and recognition of the areas that are of concern. Another benefit is that learning software can utilise all three learning techniques of hearing, seeing and doing which greatly reinforces acquisition. One of the difficulties in adopting the use of computers is in the selection of the most suitable software programs from the huge variety available. The selection process should involve verifying the accuracy of the information used in the program and confirmation of the program's effectiveness from practical experience. Computer-aided learning does seem to be the way of the future but I cannot see that it should ever become a stand-alone process. Computers are not perfect and there is nothing like having a teacher on hand to provide practical help when needed.
In conclusion, computers and teachers are both necessary in the classroom because they complement each other for the benefit of the students. (249 words)
