The Crow and The Pitcher
A crow felt very thirsty. He looked for water everywhere. Finally, he found a pitcher.
But there was not a lot of water in the pitcher. His beak could not reach it. He tried again and again, but still could not touch the water.
When he was about to give up, an idea came to him. He took a pebble and dropped it into the pitcher.
Then he took another and dropped it in.
Gradually, the water rose, and the crow was able to drink the water.
口渴的烏鴉
一只烏鴉口渴了,到處找水喝。終于,他找到了一個(gè)大水罐。
然而,水罐里面的水并不多,他的尖嘴夠不到水面,他試了一次又一次,都沒(méi)有成功。

漸漸地,水面升高了。烏鴉高興地喝到了水。
寓意:有些東西雖然看起來(lái)微不足道,但如果積少成多,便會(huì)帶來(lái)很大變化。

One day, Zhuang Gong, King of the State of Qi, went out in a chariot to hunt.
一天,齊莊公乘車(chē)外出打獵。
On the way, he saw a small insect raise both its arms, trying to stop the wheels of the chariot. Zhuang Gong of Qi was curious and asked the driver:
路上,他看見(jiàn)一只小蟲(chóng)舉起雙臂,想阻擋車(chē)輪前進(jìn)。齊莊公很好奇,就問(wèn)車(chē)夫:
"What kind of insect is it?"
“這是什么蟲(chóng)子?”
"It is a mantis," the driver replied promptly. "This kind of insect only knows how to advance but not retreat, blindly underrating its enemies and overrating its own abilities."
車(chē)夫連忙回答:“這是蝗螂。這種蟲(chóng)子只知前進(jìn),不知后退,盲目輕敵,不自量力。”
Hearing the driver's reply, Zhuang Gong smiled to himself and remained silent.
聽(tīng)了車(chē)夫的回答,莊公暗自發(fā)笑,默默無(wú)語(yǔ)。

A waggoner was once driving a heavy load on a very muddy road.
一名車(chē)夫趕著貨車(chē)沿著一條非常泥濘的小路前行。
Suddenly the wheels of the wagon sank into the mire, and the horse could not pull them out.
突然,馬車(chē)的輪子陷入了泥潭,馬無(wú)法將它們拉出來(lái)。
The waggoner threw down his whip. He knelt down and prayed to Hercules. “Hercules, help me,please,“ he said.

One day a crow stood on a branch near his nest and felt very happy with the meat in his mouth. 蛇看見(jiàn)了說(shuō):“小象,我們有自己的本事。我不會(huì)飛,可是,我會(huì)在樹(shù)上睡覺(jué)!
獅子說(shuō):“我也不會(huì)飛,可是,我能跳過(guò)寬寬的大河!
老虎說(shuō):“我不會(huì)飛,可是我會(huì)游泳!”
爸爸媽媽對(duì)小象說(shuō):“我們象的力氣大,這是小鳥(niǎo)不能比的!毙∠竺靼琢。他用長(zhǎng)鼻子一鉤,大木頭就搬走了。
