A 節(jié)部分即口頭提問(wèn)，是針對(duì)所給的Topic(主題)設(shè)計(jì)出若干問(wèn)題，向考生發(fā)問(wèn)。它出現(xiàn)在考試的起始階段和最后階段。在這兩部分中每位考生大約分別有一分鐘左右的時(shí)間回答問(wèn)題，大概要說(shuō)十句話左右。所以不能簡(jiǎn)單地說(shuō)上一兩句就結(jié)束了。因?yàn)樵诳陬^提問(wèn)部分不給準(zhǔn)備時(shí)間，因此考生無(wú)論在考試前還是考試過(guò)程中都應(yīng)有足夠的準(zhǔn)備。

　　(1)事先學(xué)習(xí)使用一些表達(dá)方式給自己爭(zhēng)取一點(diǎn)時(shí)間思考。常用的表達(dá)方式有：

　　As everybody knows. Sofar as I am concerned.

　　What I mean is...Well...

　　That is to say...You know, ...

　　(2)重復(fù)考官的問(wèn)題也是一種得體的方式，為的是讓自己有一點(diǎn)時(shí)間思考。

　　(3)考試中選擇自己熟悉的東西或事情來(lái)談，否則會(huì)由于有些詞不會(huì)用英文表述，而給自己造成麻煩。比如就音樂(lè)或書籍來(lái)講，考試時(shí)選擇一種會(huì)表述或表述較為容易的音樂(lè)或一本自己熟悉的書，比選擇一種自己真正喜歡的音樂(lè)或一本書更現(xiàn)實(shí)。

　　(4)考試中為了使自己回答問(wèn)題的內(nèi)容更充實(shí)些，可以用列舉法或舉例說(shuō)明法予以適當(dāng)展開(kāi)闡述。

　　(5)考生在回答問(wèn)題時(shí)，如果發(fā)現(xiàn)自己要說(shuō)的話太少，或覺(jué)得無(wú)話可說(shuō)時(shí)，不妨把自己想到的問(wèn)題再詳細(xì)地說(shuō)明或細(xì)化一下。

　　1. And what shall I call you?

　　Most people call me Xiao Huang.

　　2. Where do you come from?

　　a. I was born in Xi‘a(chǎn)n， which is one of the major cities in China. It used to be the capital city at one point in China’s history.

　　b. I come from Shanghai， but I was born in Xi‘a(chǎn)n. My parents moved to Shanghai when I was just 4 years old， so I really don’t know much about Xi‘a(chǎn)n， apart from occasional summer visits to see

　　some good friends of the family. In fact, I don’t have any relatives at all living in Xi'an.

　　3. Where about is your hometown?

　　Xi’an is located in Shanxi Province, which is in central China.

　　4. Could you tell me something about your hometown?

　　a. Hmm. . well， the population is about 6 million. It's famous for its historic sites, especially for the Terracotta Warriors. Xi'an was named the capital of China several times over many dynasties. Also, Xi'an is the starting point of the famous Silk Road, which was important in ancient times. The weather is extremely hot in summer, about 40 degrees Centigrade, and fairly cold in the winter, about 14 degrees Centigrade below zero.

　　b. Okay. Well, first of all, my hometown is "X". I was born in the city, but moved to the outskirts of the town when I was small. "X" is a fairly large city — a pretty important economic centre actually. It has a population of 3 million. It's pretty flat, and is situated right near a large lake.

　　5. What is the climate like in your hometown?

　　It's generally very hot in summer, about 40 degrees Centigrade. In winter, it's cold — about minus 14 degrees Centigrade. The spring and autumn are both mild and pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 12 to 25 degrees Centigrade. Oh, and the summer time is extremely humid as well. There are four seasons. Winter is cold and snowy; spring is short and rainy; summer is hot and humid; and autumn is beautiful.
