【第一篇：不要把好東西扔掉】
A man is going to the house of a rich man. He sees a box of good apples by the road. He says, “I don’t want them, because the rich man will give me a lot of good food.” Then he takes the apples and throws them into the dustbin.
有一個(gè)人要到一個(gè)富人家里去。在途中，他看到一箱很好的蘋(píng)果。他說(shuō)：“我不需要它們，因?yàn)楦蝗藭?huì)給我許多好吃的�！庇谑撬闷鹛O(píng)果將它們?nèi)舆M(jìn)了垃圾箱。
He comes to a river. The water in the river is very deep and he can’t get across it. He says to himself, “I can’t go to the rich man’s house today. ” So he goes home.
他來(lái)到一條河邊。河里的水很深他過(guò)不去。他自言自語(yǔ)說(shuō)：“我今天去不成富人的家了�！庇谑撬丶伊恕�
He has nothing to eat the day. He is very hungry, so he comes to the apples.
這一天他什么都沒(méi)吃，他很餓，所以他又找蘋(píng)果去了。
Don’t throw good things away, you may be glad to have them sometimes.
不要扔掉好的東西，你可能偶爾會(huì)用到它們。
【第二篇：愚蠢的父親和兒子】
Mr Smith and his son Jim rent a boat from Mr Green. They find a very good place and catch a lot of fish. Now it is late and they are going home.
史密斯先生和他的兒子吉姆，從格林先生那里租了一條船。他們找到了一個(gè)非常好的地方并抓到了許多魚(yú)。天色已經(jīng)很晚了，他們要回家了。
Jim says, “I’ll come here again tomorrow.”
吉姆說(shuō)：“我明天還要再來(lái)這里�！�
“Yes, me too.” say his father. “But how can we get back and find the right place again?” “I can make a mark on the side of the boat.” Jim answers.

The father laughs and says, “No, that’s foolish! Mr Green won’t give us the same boat next time.”
父親大笑說(shuō)道：“不那太愚蠢了!格林先生下次不會(huì)給我們同一條船的。”
【第三篇：這是我的包】
It’s Sunday. There are many people in the bus. And an old man is looking here and there. He wants to find an empty seat. Then he finds one. He goes to it. A small bag is on the seat. And a young man is beside it.
今天是周末，公共汽車上有許多人。一位老人站在車上到處看，他想要找到一個(gè)空的座位。后來(lái)他發(fā)現(xiàn)了一個(gè)，他走了過(guò)去。有一個(gè)小包在座位上，有一個(gè)年輕的男子坐在這個(gè)座位的旁邊。
“Is this seat empty?” asks the old man.
“這個(gè)座位有人嗎?”老人問(wèn)道。
“No, it’s for an old woman. She went to buy some bananas,” says the man. “Well, let me sit here, please, I’ll leave here when she comes back.”
“有，這是一位老太太的座位。她買(mǎi)香蕉去了�！蹦凶诱f(shuō)道。“那么請(qǐng)先讓我坐一下吧，等她回來(lái)我就會(huì)離開(kāi)�！�
The bus starts. “She hasn’t come, but her bag is here. Let me give her the bag. ” Then the old man throws the bag out.
公車開(kāi)動(dòng)了，“她還沒(méi)回來(lái)，可是她的包還在這里，我把這包還給她吧�！闭f(shuō)著老人就把包扔到車外。
The young man shouts, “Don’t throw it! It’s may bag!”
年輕男子喊道：“不要扔!那是我的包!”
