　　Mr Wood: Is my car ready yet?

　　Attendant: I don’t know, sir. What’s the licence number of your car?

　　【知識點講解】

　　1. 本課當中我們終于接觸到了第一個從句：I think that they'll move in the day after tomorrow.(我想他們后天搬進來。)這是一個賓語從句，大家在這里只要有一個簡單的印象就好，不用太糾結(jié)。這句話中I think that... 是主句，意思是我想……;they'll move in the day after tomorrow. 他們后天搬進來，這后半句是一個完整的句子，就是從句了。

　　2. 課文后兩句對話：

　　CATHERING: Poor Ian! He didn't want to leave this house.

　　JENNY: No, he didn't want to leave, but his wife did!

　　請注意Jenny的回答"No, he didn't..."是對前面Cathering觀點的肯定。這里使用"No"開頭，和我們中文的習慣不太一樣。大家可以理解為Jenny在順著Cathering的話說，但翻譯成中文時就要改成漢語習慣，譯為：是啊，他不想離開。

　　3. Poor Ian，意思是可憐的伊恩。英文中常用Poor XX來表達同情。如果朋友遭遇不幸，你可以說"You poor little thing." 你這可憐的小東西!—— 來安慰對方。
