不是典型的恐龍
Crispin Blaze was born into a proud family of fire-breathing dragons.
Crispin Blaze出生在以會噴火為傲的恐龍家族
“Every Blaze breathes fire，”explained his father， I breathe fire，
爸爸解釋給他聽，“家族里每個(gè)恐龍都會噴火的，爸爸也會�！�
Your mother breathes fire， Tomorrow， when you turn seven，you‘ll breathe fire too.“
媽媽也會噴火的，明天，你就7歲了，你也會開始會噴火的。
The little dragon imagined all the forests he would burn down.
小恐龍想象著他可以噴火燃燒整個(gè)深林。
He dreamed of all the castles he would destroy.
他幻象著他可以噴火摧毀整個(gè)城堡。
He also considered boiling water to make tea， but he didn’t tell his father that.
他也考慮過要煮沸開水來沖茶，但是他不告訴爸爸那水是剛剛沸開的。
The next day ，Crispin sat among family and friends as a big cake was brought to the table.
第二天，Crispin坐在家人和朋友之間因?yàn)橛幸粋�(gè)大蛋糕放在桌上。
“Who will light the birthday candles？” his mother asked.

“I will！” declared Crispin. He could feel a tingling inside his tummy.

But when he opened his mouth，fire did not come out.

Whipped cream came out.

“ Crispin！” shouted his father .“Dragons breathe fire！”

“ What will the neighbors think？”worried his mother.

“ I love whipped cream，”said his little sister Ashley.
Crispin的小妹妹Ashley卻說我喜歡鮮奶油。
The little dragon was whisked off to the doctor the very next day.
第二天，小恐龍馬上去看醫(yī)生。
“Please fix my son，”demanded Crispin‘s father.
Crispin爸爸請求醫(yī)生一定要醫(yī)好我的兒子。
“What seems to be the problem？” asked the doctor.
醫(yī)生問：”你兒子有什么問題呢？“
Crispin opened his mouth and breathed. But fire did not come out.
Crispin張開他的嘴巴，并噴。但是沒有噴出火。
Band-Aids came out.”I see，“ said the doctor gravely.
卻噴出創(chuàng)口貼。醫(yī)生嚴(yán)肅地說，好的，我明白了。
“Dragons should breathe fire，”insisted Cripsins’s father.
Cripsins‘s的爸爸堅(jiān)持說”恐龍是應(yīng)該噴火的。
“We were low on Band-Aids，”mumbled the nurse.
護(hù)士嘰嘰咕咕地說“我們剛好缺創(chuàng)口貼。”
The doctor sent Crispin home with medicine.
醫(yī)生開了一些藥讓Crispin帶回家吃。
He swallowed two teaspoons before going to school.
小恐龍?jiān)谌ド蠈W(xué)前就吞下2茶匙的藥。
“It will be help you become a real dragon，” said his father with a wink.
爸爸使眼色地對小恐龍說“它會幫助你成為真正的恐龍�！�
After school，Crispin jointed his first fire breathing practice.
課后，Crispin參加他第一堂噴火練習(xí)課。
One by one，little dragons aimed their fiery breath at stacks of logs until they burst into flames.
一個(gè)個(gè)地輪流來，小恐龍瞄準(zhǔn)成推的木頭深呼吸直到他們要噴出火苗。
Crispin stepped up confidently.He could feel the medicine bubbling in his belly.
Crispin自信地加強(qiáng)力度，他可以感覺到胃里的藥力開始起作用。
But when he opened his mouth，fire did not come out.
但是當(dāng)他張開嘴，還是沒有噴出火。
Marshmallows came out.
卻噴出棉花糖。
“Dragons breathe fire！”yelled the coach.“Isn’t that right，class？”
教練大聲喊叫說“恐龍們要噴火，這樣才對�。客瑢W(xué)們！”
The other dragons didn‘t answer.
其他的小恐龍沒有回答教練。
they were too busy looking for pointy sticks for marshmallow roasting.

I guess I’m not a real dragon.Crispin thought.
Crispin想，我可能不是一只真正的噴火恐龍。
He worried that his family would be disappointed.
他擔(dān)心家人因此會對他很失望。
So he ran away from home。
于是他離家出走。
The world can be a scary place for a little dragon who can‘t breath fire.
世界之大總有一個(gè)地方給不會噴火的小恐龍棲息的。
Crispin found a dark cave.“ I’ll be a fireless dragon all by myself.“
Crispin發(fā)現(xiàn)已經(jīng)漆黑的洞。我要做獨(dú)一無二的不會噴火的自己。
I won‘t bother anyone，and on one will bother me.”
我不會打擾任何人，并且任何人也不好打擾我。
An hour later，he had a visitor.
過了一個(gè)小時(shí)后，他有一個(gè)訪客了。
“I am Sir George，” squeaked a thin， shiny knight.
“我叫George先生”一個(gè)瘦瘦地穿著擦亮的盔甲的武士吱吱地說。
“Sh-sh-show yourself dragon！”
“恐龍，拿出你的看見本領(lǐng)來！”
Crispin shuffled out the cave.
Crispin從洞里搖曳地出了。
The thin，shiny knight held up his thin， shiny sword.
那個(gè)瘦瘦地穿著擦亮的盔甲的武士揮出它鋒利的寶劍。
“D-d-do your worst，dragon！”
”恐龍，拿出你的看見本領(lǐng)來！“
Crispin opened his mouth，But fire did not come out.
Crispin張開他的嘴巴，但是沒有火噴出來。
Soap bubbles came out.”Don’t you breath fire，dragon？“
卻噴出肥皂泡�！半y到你不會噴火嗎？恐龍”武士驚訝地說。
Crispin shook his head.“I can‘t.”
Cirspin搖搖頭說，我不會！
Sir George moaned.“But my father insists that I fight a fire-breathing dragon.
George先生抱怨著地說但是我們爸爸堅(jiān)持我要跟一只會噴火的恐龍對決��！
It even says here in my book that your typical dragon breathes fire.”
我們的書上甚至記載你們典型的恐龍是可以噴火的�！�
“I’m not your typical dragon，”Crispin explained.
Crispin解釋說”我可能不是你們說的典型恐龍�！�
Sir George sighed.“I can‘t go home.”
George先生嘆氣地說“我不能回家了�！�
“Me neither.” Crispin nodded.But then he had an idea.
Crispin點(diǎn)點(diǎn)頭說我也是。但是它有突然有一個(gè)注意。
“Maybe your book could tell us what to do.”
“可能你的書上有記載的可以告訴我們該怎么做�！�
“Of course！” Sir George searched through the pages.
”當(dāng)然可以�！庇谑荊eorge現(xiàn)在搜查幾頁之后�！�
“It says it’s probably just your diet.”
“書上記載可能是你的飲食問題�！�
Sir George fed Crispin spicy curry ，scorching chili and blistering salsa.
George先生把辣咖喱，灼熱的辣椒和麻辣調(diào)味汁都往Crispin嘴里塞。
Crispin opened his mouth，But fire did not come out.
Crispin張開嘴，但是沒有噴出火。
Red party streamers came out.
卻噴出紅色派對彩帶。
“At least they‘re the right color，” said Sir George kindly.
George安慰地說“少噴出的顏色是對啊，是紅色。”
Sir George searched through the book again.“Aha！ It says it’s probably your attitude.”
George先生再翻閱古書�！鞍」瑫嫌涊d說可能你的態(tài)度影響著你噴火的技能�！�
Sir George showed Crispin how to look mean and angry enough to breathe fire.
George現(xiàn)在給Crispin示范如何看起來很卑鄙的和生氣的樣子，足夠可以令小恐龍噴出火的。
Crispin opened his mouth，But fire did no come out.
Crispin張開嘴，但是沒有噴出火。
Soft， cuddly teddy bears came out.
卻噴出軟綿綿的，可愛的泰迪熊。
“Hmmm，” said Sir George，“we may have taken a step backward.”
George 說，“不對，我們應(yīng)該采用倒退的方法�！�
“It‘s no use，” Crispin sighed.“I’m just not your typical dragon.”
Crispin嘆氣地說：“沒有用的了，我真的不是典型的會噴火的恐龍了�！�
But Sir George was not ready to give up.
但是George先生并不打算放棄。
“Aha！The book sayas you‘re too stressed.”

Sir George made Crispin close his eyes while he described a quiet， relaxing day at the ocean.
George先生要Crispin閉上眼睛安靜地想象你現(xiàn)在在一個(gè)非常安靜放松的海灘上。
“Do you feel calm？Now imagine a hundred shiny knights attacking you！”
”你是不是感到很平靜呢？現(xiàn)在你要想象有一百位武士在襲擊你！“
Grispin opened his mouth，But fire did not come out. Beach balls came out.
Crispin張開嘴，但是沒有噴出火。卻噴出沙灘排球。
“Well， that’s just plain weird.”
“好吧，這真是很詭異�！�
Secretly，Sir George was glad that Crispin couldn‘t breathe fire.
George暗暗地開心Crispin不會噴火。
He liked the little dragon and didn’t want to fight him.
因?yàn)樗芟矚g小恐龍并不想跟他決戰(zhàn)。
Crispin liked the shiny knight， too.but he missed his parents.
Crispin也很喜歡身穿盔甲的武士，但是他很想念他們的爸爸媽媽。
“Sir George，it‘s getting dark， I want to go home .”
“George先生，快天黑了，我要回家了�！�
The shiny knight patted him on the back，
George先生拍拍小恐龍的背說，
“Don’t worry， little dragon， I will take you.
不用擔(dān)心，小恐龍，我會送你回去的。
Cripin‘s parents were relieved when he arrived home safely.
Cripin的父母看到小恐龍安全回到家才放下心頭大石。
Sir George was about to say good-bye when they heard a shout.
George先生正準(zhǔn)備道別的時(shí)候他們聽到一個(gè)喊叫聲。
“There you are， boy！ Why on earth are you playing with a fire-breathing dragon？”
”孩子，你在這里�。槭裁床辉陉懙馗鷩娀鹂铸堃槐雀叩�？
“ He’s my friend，F(xiàn)ather，” Whispered Sir George，“and besides，he doesn‘t breathe fire.”
“George先生小聲地說，”爸爸，他說我的朋友，并且他并不會噴火啊。”
“A dragon that doesn’t breathe fire？
”一只不會噴火的恐龍？
That‘s the silliest thing I’ve ever heard.“The shiny man laughed.

Crispin‘s father stormed out of the house .“My son is not silly！”
Crispin的爸爸破門而出，生氣地說”我的兒子不是蠢材！”
He may not breathe the fire，but I certainly do！“

Crispin’s father let out a powerful spray of flames.
Crospin的爸爸噴出強(qiáng)有力的噴霧的火焰。
“Do your worst，dragon！” declared the shiny man.
穿盔甲的男人宣戰(zhàn)地說“你放馬過來吧！“
But then the flames scorched the lawn.
不用一會火焰燒焦了草地的草。
“That‘s enough，honey.” said Crispin’s mother.
”親愛的，夠了，”Crispin的媽媽說。
The flames singed the fence.
火焰已經(jīng)蔓延到柵欄了。
“You‘ve make your point， dear， now stop showing off，” she scolded.
媽媽訓(xùn)斥地說：“親愛的，你已經(jīng)達(dá)到目的了，現(xiàn)有要停止噴火啦�！�
Then the flames ignited the roof.
然后屋頂都著火了。
Crispin’s father panicked，” I can‘t stope breathing fire！“
Crispin的爸爸驚慌失措地說，“我不會停止不噴火��！”
“You’ll burn out house down！” cried his mother .
媽媽呼喊著：“你會摧毀我們的房屋啊！“
“You‘ll burn down the whole neighborhood！”
”并且連鄰居的房屋都全部摧毀的！“
Dragons came running from all directions.
鄰居們都往不同方向逃離火場。
They knew how to start fires，but no one knew how to stop them.
他們只知道如何噴火，但是沒有人知道如何可以讓他們停止。
Crispin suddenly felt a tingling in his tummy. He felt a bubbling in his belly.
Crispin突然感到他的肚子里一陣刺痛。他覺得在他的胃在冒泡。
He opened his mouth，But fire did not come out.
Crispin張開嘴，但是沒有噴出火。
A gush of water shot out！
一股水噴出來！
Crispin aimed the water at his father’s flames. He saved his home。
Crispn對準(zhǔn)他爸爸的火焰噴出水。他拯救了他的家園。
and even saved the shiny man， who wasn‘t looking so shiny anymore.
甚至還拯救那個(gè)再也不那么高傲的穿盔甲的男人。
“ Hurray for Crispin ！”everyone shouted.
“Crispin，萬歲！”每個(gè)人都呼叫著.“
On Crispin’s next birthday， there was a big party.
在Crispin的下一個(gè)生日，舉行了一個(gè)大型的生日派對.
Family and friends came form all over the land.
親人和朋友每個(gè)人都過來一起慶祝.
Sir George and his family came too.
George先生和他們家人也來了。
Lots of dragons were dancing，Crispin stood with his mouth open wide.
很多恐龍都在跳舞。Crispin張得嘴巴大大的。
Fire still did not come out，Music came out instead.
還是沒有火噴出，相反是噴出音樂來 。
“Your son，”said an old uncle to Crispin‘s father，
一個(gè)年長的伯伯跟Crispin的爸爸說，你的兒子。
“He’s not your typical dragon，is he？”
