  5.一般疑問句:was或were放于句首;would/should 提到句首。

  1、先行詞為 all , much, everything, nothing , something ,anything, nothing, none, the one等不定代詞時

  4、 當先行詞是序數(shù)詞或被序數(shù)詞修飾時。

  5、當先行詞是數(shù)詞時.

  6、 當先行詞既指人又指物時。

  7、如有兩個定語從句,其中一個關系代詞已用which,另一個關系代詞則宜用 that。

  8、主句是There be結構,修飾其主語的定語從句宜用that 作關系代詞。

  9、被修飾成分為表語,或者關系代詞本身是定語從句的表語時,該關系代詞宜用that。

  10、先行詞為what,關系代詞用that。

  11、有時為了避免重復而使用that引導定語從句。

  The girl is too young to look after herself.這女孩太小,還不能照顧自己。作look after的賓語.

  He was always ready to help others; he never thought of himself他總是幫助別人,從不想到自己。作thought of的賓語.

  2.在句中作名詞或代詞的同位語,用來加強名詞或代詞的語氣,作"親自"、"本人"解。它在句中可置于名詞、代詞之后,也可置于句子末尾。如:

  You yourself said so.你自己是這樣說的。

  The desk itself is not so heavy.書桌本身并不重。

  I fixed the window myself.這窗戶是我自己裝的。
