It was such a beautiful day.那是陽光明媚的一天。
We left the city to see the country,我們離城開往鄉(xiāng)村，
but got lost along the way.但在路上迷路了。
We drove for endless hours我們開了數(shù)小時的車
up dirt roads and down,在泥濘的道路來來回回，
with no idea where we were going.不知道該往哪里走。
There wasn't even a town!那里連一個小鎮(zhèn)都沒有!
Then the clouds grew heavy and dark.烏云壓來，云層越來越厚。
A strong wind began to blow.又刮起了大風。
We could see a storm was coming.一場暴風雨即將來臨。
It was time for us to go!我們得立馬離開!
We tried to turn the car around,我們試著調(diào)轉車頭，
but it was all in vain.但已經(jīng)來不及了。
Thunder clapped and lightning flashed電閃雷鳴
and down came pouring rain.一陣傾盆大雨。
How we got back home that day那天我們是怎么回到家的
I will never really know.我已經(jīng)不知道了。
But from my worst day I have learned-但從我那最糟糕的一天吸取到了教訓-
on country trips, don't go!鄉(xiāng)村旅行，別去!
