Step 3: Oral practice 1.Ask two students to read the example in the box. A: What are people in Korea supposed to do when they meet for the first time? B: they’re supposed to bow. 2.Students work in pairs to make conventions by using the lists of customs and countries in 1a. 3.Ask different pairs of students to ask and answer a question for the class. Step 4: Reading This activity provides reading practice using the target language. 1.Teach the new words. Show them on the blackboard. Step 6: Homework Write an e-mail about the table manners in Japan before reviewing the rules of writing an e-mail.
