Allen does not like high places.Allen would never climb a ladder.
艾倫不喜歡高處。艾倫從不爬上梯子。
“No way!”Allen would never even try to slide.
“沒(méi)門(mén)！”艾倫甚至從不試著去滑滑梯。
“Too scary!”Allen would never jump off a diving board.
“太令人害怕了！”艾倫從不從跳水板上跳下。
“Not me!”Allen would never climb a tall tree.
“我不要！”艾倫從不爬上高的樹(shù)木。
“Oh,wait a minute!What’s that?”

Allen’s kitty is up in the tree!

It is not a very tall tree,but it looks tall to Allen.

“I cannot leave my kitty in the tree!”

Allen calls for someone to help get his kitty.

No one answers.

There is no one around to help.

Allen begins to cry.

Then,his dad comes outside.“Why are you crying?”

“Dad,my kitty is up in the tree.But I cannot get him down.”

Slowly and carefully,he helps Allen climb onto his shoulder.

Allen reaches for his kitty.

Very far away from the city lived a poor farmer and his wife.

Infront oftheir house was a small dirt road.
在他們的房子前面是一條很小的土路。
Very few cars drove on this road because it was so far from the city.
非常少的車(chē)輛駛過(guò)這條道路，因?yàn)樗x城市是如此的遠(yuǎn)。在這條土路上，有一個(gè)很大的充滿(mǎn)了水的洞。
The hole was very deep，but drivers on the road didn't Know just how deep.

Drives always drove into the hole，but they never drove out.
司機(jī)們總是駛進(jìn)洞中，而且從他們沒(méi)有駛出來(lái)。
One day，a man in a new car was driving down the road.
一天，一個(gè)人開(kāi)著一輛新轎車(chē)正駛在這條道路上。
He saw the hole with the water，but he didn't think it was very deep

He drove into the hole，but he couldn't drive out.

.The man saw the farmer on his tractor working in the field，and he signaled to the farmer.
這個(gè)人看到農(nóng)夫正駕駛著拖拉機(jī)在田地理工作，于是他對(duì)這個(gè)農(nóng)夫打招呼。
The farmer drove over to the man in the new car.“Is there a problem？”asked the farmer.“Yes，”said the man.“My car is stuck in this hole.Can you help me？”
這個(gè)人看到農(nóng)夫正駕駛著拖拉機(jī)在田地理工作，于是他對(duì)這個(gè)農(nóng)夫打招呼。農(nóng)夫向這個(gè)人坐的轎車(chē)駛過(guò)來(lái)。‘’有難題嗎？”農(nóng)夫問(wèn)�！笆堑摹�，這個(gè)人回答�！拔业霓I車(chē)載進(jìn)這個(gè)洞里了。你能幫助我嗎？”
“Maybe，”said the farmer.“But I'm very busy.”
“也許可以”，農(nóng)夫回答。“但是我非常忙”。
“If you help me，I'll pay you，”said the man.“OK，”said the farmer.
“如果你幫助我，我將付您錢(qián)，”這個(gè)人說(shuō)。“好吧�！鞭r(nóng)夫說(shuō)。
The farmer pulled the car out of the hole with his tractor，and the man paid him a lot of money.

The man looked at the farmer and said，“You must make a lot of money pulling cars out of this hole day and night.”

“Actually，no，”said the farmer.“Why not？”asked the man.

“The hole is very deep，and a lot of people get stuck and ask for help.

But I don't make money day and night because I don't pull cars out at night.”

“At night I'm busy filling the hole with water，”answer the farmer.
“在晚上我忙著往這個(gè)洞里面注水，”農(nóng)夫回答。
